BP Chargemaster has unveiled its new 150Kw ultra-fast electric vehicle charger, which is claimed to deliver 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.
According to the company, the new units will start across the firm’s public charging network, Polar, “soon”.
The Ultracharge 150 features both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, and an intuitive interface, making it as easy as possible to use. The units will be accessible to both pay-as-you-go and subscription customers and As BP Chargemaster said it will be deploying these new units alongside its nationwide rollout programme for 50kW rapid chargers, which also offer 43kW AC rapid charging.
The unveiling of the new point, follows on from Tufan Erginbilgic, chief executive of Downstream BP, confirming that 400 of the new 150kW ultra-fast chargers are planned for installation on BP forecourts across the UK by the end of 2021, with around 100 units appearing on 50 sites by the end of 2019.

We shifted consumer expectations for rapid charging with the introduction of our 50kW Ultracharge unit and we are confident that the Ultracharge 150 unit will do the same for 150kW ultra-fast charging.”
