The AA fleet and SME division has signed a five-year contract extension with the Freight Transport Association (FTA) – the UK’s largest transport trade association, with more than 16,000 members in the UK.
The AA will provide breakdown and recovery services to its 2,000 FTA Recovery members for their 86,000 mixed vehicle fleets.
With its 111-year strong history, the AA is still the UK’s leader in breakdown and recovery services and is proud to announce it has secured a contract to partner with the FTA, effective immediately. The fully comprehensive contract sees the AA provide services to cars, vans and HGVs.
The AA has been the official provider to the FTA since 1991. The partnership has seen multiple successes over its 26-year term, including supporting the FTA Van Excellence programme, working closely with FTA on its ‘Love Logistics’ campaign, which highlighted career opportunities in the freight sector, and sharing in the FTA’s 125th anniversary. The partnership has enabled FTA Recovery members to benefit from preferential breakdown rates and avoid annual fees whilst also streamlining the application process.
