Mercedes-Benz C-class - At a glance car review
As Mercedes continues in its attempts to disrupt the BMW and Audi dominance of the fleet sector, the C-class has become vital to the firm’s fleet fortunes. Still more soberly designed inside and out than its premium rivals, the Merc, available in saloon and estate form, as well as the sporty looking Coupe, and in rear or four wheel drive and from plug-in hybrid to 510hp C63 AMG S model, the range has never been broader or more appealing to company car drivers.
Comfortable, impressive breadth of range
Not quite as good to drive as its rivals, styling still not that attractive to a younger audience
Audi A4, BMW 3-series, Jaguar XE
Lexus IS, Infiniti Q50, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Volkswagen Passat
More competitive an all-rounder than previous C-class models, this Merc still appeals more to people looking to the understated comfort end of the sector.
