Seat has named Craig Cavanagh as its new head of fleet, replacing Peter McDonald, who moved to Nissan as its new fleet boss in November.

Cavanagh has been with the Volkswagen Group for 22 years and will move to the new role from his current position of sales operations manager.

Seat said its UK’s true fleet sales have increased by 7% year-to-date, despite a market decline of 2% and put this down to its fleet team – which has a combined 256 years of industry experience – saying it has been “at the core of its successful growth, delivering innovation and a real customer first approach, delivering on the needs of fleet customers at all different levels, from large corporate fleets, through leasing and end-user customers.”

Seat UK managing director, Richard Harrison, said:  “Craig is an experienced and trusted member of the SEAT leadership team, and I am delighted to see him progress his career by moving across to lead our fantastic Fleet team. We have an exciting year ahead for our Fleet customers and partners, as we add 5 new models, electrify the brand, and continue to build upon our high level of service to fleet customers, through great initiatives such as the four-day test drive programme.”
