New fleet trim for Volvo S60 and V60
Volvo has launched a new fleet trim level for its S60 saloon and V60 estate models. Available on top of Business Edition specification, Business Edition Lux is said to replicate the existing Lux upgrade available on SE, R-Design and Cross Country models.
It adds 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, Piano Black inlays an active information display and a rear parking camera.
The standard S60/V60 Business Edition trim level includes autonomous emergency braking, Sensus Connect with satellite navigation, DAB radio and Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and LED daytime running lights. It is said to account for 29% of S60 and V60 sales.
Hydrogen car trial launched in Swindon
A hydrogen car trial has begun with businesses in Swindon this week, two Toyota Mirais and a Hyundai iX35 Fuel Cell. Leasing firm Arval which is based in the town, will run one of the vehicles and has supplied the other two to Nationwide and The National Trust.
Known as the Hydrogen Hub project, the scheme aims to involve fuel cell vehicles in a variety of domestic and commercial applications, with a view to establishing the town as a “centre of excellence” for hydrogen power.
“Leasing more than 160,000 vehicles in the UK, Arval has a long history of pioneering low carbon vehicle technologies and we’re excited to be leading the way once again as hydrogen fuel cell cars enter the market,” said the firm’s development manager, Paul Marchment, “hydrogen technology offers the driver great benefits, combining a 300-mile range with zero emissions, and as Chair of the Car Working Group we are excited to be playing a key role in this exciting project.”
