AA Driving School signs Seat fleet deal

The AA’s Driving School arm has signed a deal with Seat as its vehicle supplier.

As part of the deal, the AA’s driving instructors will have access to either the Arona compact SUV (in SE Technology 1.0 TSI 95hp guise) or the Ibiza hatchback, in FR 1.0 TSI 95hp guise.

The AA Driving School said Seat’s simplified vehicle specification tool – whereby fleet customers need only choose the trim level, engine and colour on the online configurator – was a factor behind signing the deal, as was low total cost of ownership figures.

Ford launches fleet management offshoot

Ford and ALD Automotive have launched Ford Fleet Management, which is a one-stop shop for vehicle supply, funding and in-life vehicle management.

The new company aims to “maximise fleet productivity for customers who seek bespoke services with minimum downtime”. Despite the firm’s name, cars and commercial vehicles from other brands can be supplied to customers “so that customers with diverse fleet policies can also enjoy Ford Fleet Management’s wide range of services.”

Cazoo acquires car subscription service

Online car retailer Cazoo has acquired Drover, a car subscription platform, for an undisclosed sum.

 Cazoo delivery vans 2020Drover offers a flexible alternative to car ownership, with a single monthly subscription fee which includes the car, maintenance, service, road tax and breakdown cover, and Cazoo said the buyout will enable it to “give its customers the option of purchasing, financing or subscribing to the thousands of cars on its platform.”
