Revealed: All-new Renault Kangoo

Renault Pro+ has revealed the all-new Kangoo that will arrive in 2021. Benefitting from what the French brand described as a “completely redesigned exterior with bold front end design and sculpted sides”, the new model will again feature the full electric Kangoo ZE model, a model that has been Europe’s best-selling electric light commercial since its 2011 launch, with over 50,000 sales.

The new model will come in two vehicle lengths, offering 3.3-3.9m3 of volume in the regular van and between 4.2-4.9m3 in the longer wheelbase.

According to Renault, Europe’s number one light commercial vehicle brand for 21 years, the new Kangoo “promises to revolutionise its segment” with its practicality, versatility and its upmarket feel generated through the materials and high levels of standard equipment.

The cabin features a new horizontal dashboard with numerous stowage spots, and the brands said it has completely redesigned the seats to enhance comfort and durability.

Driver assistance systems are improved with the addition of the new Permanent Rear View digital interior mirror that provides a rearward view where a bulkhead would otherwise prevent it.

More details on the new Kangoo will be released in the new year.

Meanwhile, Renault has also revealed its new Trafic Passenger (left) and Trafic SpaceClass people carrying versions of its medium van. The revised models feature a new front-end design, a new dashboard and improved equipment levels including an eight-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Full details including pricing will be revealed in early 2021, with the range consisting of six-speed manual gearbox on 110hp and 150hp dCi diesels, and a six-speed dual-clutch auto on 150hp and 170hp dCis.

The Passenger model is aimed at large families and passenger transport professionals with space and versatility for up to nine people, while the eight-seat SpaceClass (right) is a high-end business shuttle for “drivers and passengers that demand even more exclusive comfort”, according to Renault.
