Fourth month of petrol price drops

Fuel pump

November marked the fourth month of successive reductions in the price of petrol, according to the RAC, with a litre of unleaded falling half a pence (0.48p) to 125.93p.

The breakdown giant added that a litre of diesel fell by a similar amount from 130.27p to 129.83p. Diesel has fallen for three out of the last four months; it increased slightly in September when petrol fell, it said.

Since the beginning of August (5 August – 129.24p) the average price of petrol across all UK forecourts has dropped by 3.31p a litre. The diesel reduction was a penny less at 2.21p falling from 132.04p.

PSA partners with Pod Point

Pod Point charger

Groupe PSA has announced Pod Point will be its charge point supplier for its Peugeot, Citroen, DS Automobiles and Vauxhall brands in the UK.

PSA said the charge point supplier will also work with Groupe PSA’s leasing arm, Free2Move Lease, as the preferred charging provider, supporting fleet customers as they move towards an electric future.

As part of the UK partnership, Groupe PSA are offering the first retail customers for the full-electric new Vauxhall Corsa-e, the all-new Peugeot e-208 and the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense a free home charge Pod Point and standard installation.

Helen Lees, head of electric vehicles and connected services for Groupe PSA UK, said: “Groupe PSA is committed to social responsibility and our electrification strategy is at the heart of that. Mobilising our customers is a key element of our strategy, so we want to make it easy for our customers to access charging solutions tailored to their needs. We have seen already that customers have been impressed with the reliability and customer service from Pod Point and we look forward to working together.”
