Volvo V90 - At a glance car review
Volvo’s more striking design first seen on the XC90 SUV makes its way onto the flagship Volvo V90 estate model as the Swedish brand seeks to progress into the executive territory. A choice of 190hp D4 or 235hp D5 diesels, the latter with all-wheel drive, make up the engine range, and Volvo also offers the V90 Cross Country model with raised ride height and off-road-style cladding.
The V90 looks great, is classy inside and is comfortable and refined. Emissions are decent, and the R-design lifts the styling even further. As does the butch Cross Country model.
The infotainment system is on a large vertical screen, but isn’t the most straightforward to navigate from the off. It’s not as sporty to drive as some rivals.
